On Thursday morning I woke up completely exhausted which really did not surprise me considering the week we had all had. What did surprise me was the fact that our class woke me up. Normally class puts me to sleep! We had our health portion of our walking class on Thursday morning followed by our second fitness walk for the week. The class was really fun the way we all talked about the material and discussed some more of the differences between the UK and the USA. When class was over it was absolutely beautiful outside. For our walk were were going to take the tube half way there, but it was so nice out we all agreed to walk the entire way. It was only about 2 miles and it was nice to walk because now we know how to get back to our flats from the college!
We walked to Kilburn Park...the actual park, not the area that I am living in. Its not to far down from our flats but I never would have know it was there. We never walk that far away from our flats during the day to see things like a park! It is a really nice park though! We saw that there was a pretty neat playground so Denise let us play on it for a little bit. This playground was pretty awesome as it was constructed from scrap materials basically. There were painted doors and pieces of wood that had obviously been used for other things before. After we got done playing a bit we walked to the other end of the park where there was an outdoor gym. It was one of the neatest things I have seen. Who wouldn't want to workout outdoors if you had the chance! We had fun messing around on there...we didn't exactly get a good workout in, just kind of had fun :) Then not to far off Denise's husband and boys were playing soccer so we decided to join in with them for a little bit. Like I said it was a gorgeous day out so it was the perfect day to enjoy some outdoor activities. We had tons of fun playing with the little boys. I've never been a huge soccer fan but it was just so nice to be able to run around that I completely loved it!
The rest of the day wasn't as exciting. One of the girls and I went shopping for a little bit for something to do in the afternoon and just hung out. I got a bunch of things done on my to do list that seems to always pile up during the week since I have so little free time! The day before some of the girls had met some guys that new about this kind of exclusive club and invented them to come. They invited me and another girl and so we went there at night. The neat part about this is that since it was exclusive, in order to get in your name had to be "on the list." The guy knew the two girls names, but had no clue who the other two would be so he just made up some names to put on the list. Mine was Emily Fitzsimmons. I kind of love the name! Not exactly one you just makeup on the spot but it worked for me. Sadly we didn't actually even have to use our names because he met us outside and the lady said we could just go in, but it was still fun to be "on the list." The place was kind of high end so we didn't end up staying too long but it was just neat to experience the place!
Now its Friday and I have actually done nothing all day. Just chilled out at home and worked on some homework and did some cleaning. I got to sleep in for one of the first times in a very long time which was really nice. I always seem to be go go go. I decided that I needed a weekend to relax and recoop for myself and that's exactly what I have been doing! The most exciting news of the day is that our Fall Break trip to Italy/Greece is officially all booked and planned. That's a huge relief because it took a while to figure out all the details, but now I'm totally excited! Its hard to believe that the trip is only two weeks away...I will actually be in Rome two weeks from now!!!!!!!!!
