On Thursday Jeana and I had free time so we decided we should go pick up our pottery from Greenwich. We had walking class in the morning and headed straight there after it was over. It takes an hour to get to and from Greenwich so we decided we were going to spend our afternoon there after such a long journey. We picked up our pottery first and were quite happy with how it turned out. I painted a telephone booth and think it will be a great memento for the trip. After we got our pottery we headed through the market to look around for a little bit.
Right now they are actually filming footage for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie in Greenwich. Most of the areas have huge fences up so that you cannot see in, but there are cracks in the fences where you can peak. We had a lot of fun seeing the people in their costumes sitting around and seeing the stables with all the horses. Next we wanted to see if we could spot Johnny Depp so we headed for the area where they were actually filming. Getting to see all the people in their costumes and watching the acting was pretty neat. We did get to see "Johnny Depp" but it was only one of his four stunt doubles.
We still thought it was pretty cool that we even got to see the filming. We talked to one of the security guards and found out that the real Johnny Depp had left the day before and would not be returning to Greenwich. We also learned there are 600 extras, 100 of which are children. Each of them are fed a multiple course meal twice a day!!! It would be crazy to imagine how much money goes into food alone. Jeana and I can't wait to see the scene in the movie that we got to see filmed in Greenwich. After we had seen our fair share of the filming we headed home. After we got home we relaxed for a while and then went out as a group for the evening.
On Friday we all spent the day doing our homework so that we would be able to enjoy our weekend in Wales. Writing our first assignment for Lyndon was somewhat difficult but mostly because he put a word limit on it and that's never good news for me! It was a huge relief to finally get it done and get ready for our weekend!!!
oh no, anything but a word limit... I still to this day have yet to understand how that could possibly be a bad thing but anyways... Glad to see that you are still enjoying yourself! You'll have to tell me where the scene is at in the movie when it comes out.
