Scotland - Day 2 (Friday)

We ended up not going to bed until 5:00 am so although we completely planned to get up and going early in the morning that did not quite work out. We set our alarms for 9:30 and did actually get up but none of us wanted to so we just stayed in bed. Rebecca fell back asleep and although Jeana and I rested we never did fall back asleep. After a while we decided it was probably time to get up and moving since we were in Scotland and had some country to see!

After taking our showers and munching on some snacks we headed downtown Glasgow. Our fist mission was to find somewhere to grab some lunch because we were starving. We ended up in the mall and just ate sandwiches at one of the cafes. After filling ourselves up our shopping adventure began. The mall was decent sized so we spent a few hours shopping until we were ready to drop. I got myself a new pair of boots that I absolutely love! From there we grabbed some milkshakes and began the 25 minute walk back to Sara's flat. On the way we stopped at Tesco and got some food for dinner...spaghetti and sauce :)

We struggled to cook our dinner but eventually figured out how to work things only not to cook enough pasta! We were all still hungry so we made some more and ended up having two meals. By then we were finally full and ready to get cracking on our homework again. We really didn't want to be spending our time in Scotland working on our papers but we didn't have much of a choice since they were due nice and early Monday morning. We all sat down and focused and chugged out our papers. I practically got mine done and was feeling great about it...somehow the writers block disappeared and I was actually liking where my paper was going! It was such a huge relief and I felt like I was really going to be able to enjoy the rest of my time in Scotland a whole lot more! It was off to bed around 12 since we had to be up at 6:00 in order to get ready and catch our train to Edinburgh!
