Scotland - Day 1 (Thursday)

The morning started off a bit rocky as we had gotten little to no sleep the night before from working hard on our final projects. When I went to bed I was completely stressed because I had about half of my paper written and was at a total writers block. I had no idea how I was supposed to write 500 more words! We made ourselves get up and go to class trying to focus on the fact that we were going to be in Scotland later that night! Lyndon was at our class in the morning so we were able to ask him a few questions about our assignment but honestly it only made us all the more stressed because we began to think we were doing the entire assignment wrong.

After some destressing by talking to Denise we started to feel a little better. We did a short fitness walk after class since we ended up getting a bit lost. We never did make it to our correct destination but no one was really upset about it! We grabbed some McDonald's to munch on as we headed home on the tube so we didn't have to waste time cooking lunch once we got back! Our first day in Scotland proved to be a lot of fun even though we were all completely drained from yet another busy busy week. There was lots of preparing to do before my parents were set to finally arrive on Saturday!

We started off our Scotland adventure by running a bit behind schedule and cutting it close on making it to our easybus stop on time. Luckily we did make it with just a few minutes to spare and the bus was on time!! From there our travels were pretty easy...napped on the easybus so it felt like we got to the airport in no time! :) The brief nap really helped! Once we landed in Scotland we hopped on the bus Sara told us to grab and made our way downtown. From there we walked to her uni to meet her after her frisbe practice got over with. We only had to wait a few minutes before they were done with practice so the timing ended up working out really well!

From there we headed to a pub to eat dinner with the frisbe team and Sara even managed to get us a free meal which was excellent! We had a good time getting to know the team and ended up all going out to a club later that night to make for a great first evening in Scotland!
